What strategies really affect student achievement? I am sure we have all asked this question at one time or another. This 25 slide Power Point discusses the best practices teachers can use with students based on Marzano's Instructional Strategies. It talks about how students learn and how to grab the students' attention. Several strategies that work with all students including those "at risk" are listed.
This Power Point was originally designed for my Elementary and Middle School Methods Classes for students entering the teaching field. I have also used it at teacher workshops and school in-services.

I have been teaching since "the earth cooled". My husband is a teacher as well, and together we have over 70 years of teaching in the elementary, middle school, high school and college areas. My focus is mathematics while my husband's is science. We never want to do anything else because we love it! My teaching style is hands-on and energetic while using diverse teaching strategies.
