Create a "Using My Writer's Eye" bulletin board display with these "I SEE" statement posters. They will remind students that WRITER's edit their work after they have drafted and revised.
To motivate your students to edit carefully, provide them with an actual pair of glasses (frames only) when using these posters as a guide to check their work.
Save your 3-D movie glasses and punch out the lenses. Your students will look so SMART and will actually check their writing for errors when they get to use these props and posters!
Was laminating these today at school to put up in my jungle themed room when four different teachers wanted to look and commented how cute they were...sent them your way!
I've had these up in my room since the first day of school. We refer to them often, and we use them in scoring our writing. So cute -- much better than the boring charts I used to hang up.

Didn't realize that all the Using My Writer's Eye were the same rules, just different pictures.

Any chance you could tweak the "writer's eye" posters so that they use a red / black polka dot accents with a bear or elementary student theme? I would be happy to pay extra for the modifications.
