This lesson plan and graphics are great tools to teach your students how to use their senses when writing about places they have been. Your writers will use their senses to help the readers of their papers experience their favorite places.

This is a one day plan that can be adapted to cover several days. Students will begin drafting on the second day. Not included is a powerpoint of words that can be used when describing sensory details.

This is also a great plan for teaching students how to elaborate on their informational writing pieces.
