Each activity follows the four components of statistical problem solving put forth in the Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction in Statistics Education (GAISE) Report at http://www.amstat.org/education/gaise/GAISEPreK-12_Full.pdf
The four components are: formulate a question, design and implement a plan to collect data, analyze the data by measures and graphs, and interpret the results in the context of the original question. These activities are at GAISE Level A.
