This is a hands-on activity to enforce the concept of ratios. Students will each need one individual box of candy hearts (or a baggie of assorted candy hearts). I copied this activity on large 11" x 17" paper, leaving one side blank. The students used this blank side to manipulate and group their candy hearts into part-to-part or part-to-whole ratios, as indicated on activity sheet.
The ratios included in this activity are of varied difficulty, and will be sure to keep all of your students engaged and thinking! Be sure to enjoy eating your candy hearts afterwards! :)
