This is a FUN Valentine game that will review numbers, letters, letter writing, sight word spelling, and sight word recognition.
There are 5 student mats to help them "break the code" and TONS hearts with 2, 3, and 4 letter sight words.
16- two letter sight words
16- three letter sights words
16- four letter sight words
It store easily and will be a great center or small group activity year after year! My class loves this each year.
I also included 3 worksheets for a quick game. One sheet if for two word sight words, another for three, and the last for four letter sight words.
My kiddos loved these...great challenge! I do wish there were mixed pages (where there were some two, three, and four letter words on the same page). Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion. I wanted to make it easier for teachers to choose the words to use, hence separating the 2, 3, 4, letter words but I LOVE the idea of missing them up as well. I will keep this in mind for the next set I do! I cut up the heart cards and mix those up so that may be an option for you as well.
Have a blessed day.

This is a great addition to my Valentine literacy centers. The children loved it and were very engaged with the activity.
Thank You!
Thanks for taking the time to rate this item. I think they really will enjoy it! I would model it for them first and maybe do a few at calendar or small group together. Once they get the idea... Wow! They think they are detectives!

I'm looking forward to using your Valentine Sweet Secret Code Words with my kids this month. Unfortunately, the two-letter valentine card with the words to, it, no and on was duplicated. Was that intentional? Also, I wish you had included a generic recording page. I want to use this product as a game where they pull a card from a container, crack the code, and write it down. Since I'd like to mix the two- and three-letter words together, the recording sheets you provided will not work for me. Thanks for anything you can do.
I double checked the whole file and changed those words. I am so sorry... but I did add a blank recording sheet to the end so you could use this as you desired! I hope that helps. Thanks for letting me know so I could get it fixed asap.

Can you please creating a Valentine's Day Pack for the big day like your cookie snack pack with letters and numbers?
I will try my best to get it done. I also can't find the book you asked about. I have the book The Valentine bears to make a game with instead. Update- found it at babies r us today and got the last copy. My list is update space unit, sh pack, Val reading comp games, then this game.

Could you make some candy hearts with just letters and some with just numbers? I have some LOW children who still need help with both of these things.
I have my on the go snack packs that deal with lower and everyday skills like this. There is the set, then the individual games for them. I will look into added just numbers and letter to this one ad well. Can I assume you mean a heart with just a 1 in it, so the student writes an A in it?
I have taught Kindergarten for 8 wonderful years.
I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist degree in Instructional Technology.
