I don't have a question, but I do want to commend you for this product. I purchased this several months ago and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to implement it. The kids in my class just love singing the song American Solider and it has been on my mind a lot, especially over this three-day weekend. The lyrics are so appropriate for the little ones because they can relate to it. Above all, thanks for allowing me to honor our veterans (as well as our soliders) with my class. It is hard to find a well put-together resource on this subject matter for kinders. KUDOS!!!

I just downloaded and printed this but did not see the pattern templates. I see the step by step instructions but no actual template. Overall I love this for my kindergarteners but disappointed in that one aspect.
Update- I downloaded it twice last night and only 40 slides downloaded each time. I tried again this morning and this time 44 slides downloaded. I did give it a complete chance as I can't open the document until it's finished downloading. Thank you.

I just purchased and downloaded and see where you give step by step directions for the soldier, but not an actual template to copy onto colored construction paper. Do you have those templates or do you just free hand everything? I like to let my students cut the pieces out so a template of each item is what I was expecting to purchase. Thanks for the help! Hi there, I don't like the projects to look cookie cutter so I give the children the rectangles and squares and they follow my oral directions to create the soldier. However, I just added pattern templates for teachers who would rather use patterns. So they are there now. Thanks so much!

Hi There, This is an easy fix. :)I'm copying and pasting this from my friend, Kim Adsit. Her husband is a computer genius so follow his advice and it will fix your problem. :)
1. Make sure you are using an up to date version of Acrobat Reader.
You can check the version by clicking Help then About from within
reader. If you have a version earlier than 5.0 or 6.0, you should
update your reader.
2. If you have a Mac, you may be opening it with a Mac program
called "Preview" and not even know it. Preview has documented problems
opening modern Adobe files. If you have a Mac, try opening Adobe
Reader first (rather than just clicking on the file), then open the
file within Adobe Reader. You may also choose to set the default
reader to Adobe Reader by following the instructions here.
To change the default reader on a Mac to Adobe:

Click on the icon of a PDF file type then choose File --> Get Info
You will see a dialog box labeled something like this "sample.pdf" Info
Near the bottom, you will see a section titled "Open With:"

I think this is adorable but I was wondering if all of the materials only say "soldier" or if there are others that say "marine", "seaman", or "airman"? I teach at a DoDEA school overseas and as silly as it might seem this matters to the kids.
