This packet contains 140 sight words. You can see which words are included by downloading the preview.
Each word has a colored border around it. This is to help the students when we are looking for words on the word wall. I can tell them what color the word is on. I also put a picture with each word to help them visually. Some words like, "love" are easy to find a picture for. Others are more difficult. However, when I introduce the new words each week, my students and I come up with sentences for each word that matches the picture. This helps to anchor the new words to something.
I can also tell the students when they are looking for a word a clue to help them. For example for the word "after" there is a girl chasing butterflies. I tell my students, "The word is on yellow and the girl is chasing after the butterflies."
You can also print an extra set of these to use at a literacy center, guided reading or working on words.
These word wall words have two products I have made that can be used in conjunction with this product.

A lot of effort into making a classroom word wall with pictures! My ESL and low readers will find these colourful words helpful in their writing and reading. I will laminate them and add magnets for the classroom chalkboard.

I purchased the Visual Word Wall and I love the pictures. I can't seem to connect "the" with the picture (little person with the sling on the arm). I'm not sure how to explain the picture to my kids. Would you explain it to me?
Also, would you send me a card for "fun" & "funny". I'd like to add it to my word wall.
