It takes four different ways to help students learn how to use and understand vocabulary terms. The students write the word, definition, a sentence for the word and a picture that coordinates with the sentence. By using a variety of strategies, the student has a greater likelihood of not only understanding the term, but being able to use it properly, and recall it correctly later on.
