I created this spinner pattern for students to create in reading centers, but it would be great for any content area where students need to learn vocabulary or review material. Students fill in words and definitions (you could also have them do small illustrations, symbols, or sentences) for 5 vocabulary words on the wheel. They then cut out and put together with a brad to create a wheel that they can use to practice or review vocabulary terms. This could also be used as an assessment. The spinner could be adapted to question / answer as well instead of vocabulary--great for test review or a homework assignment.
Updated! The spinner pattern now includes both a vocabulary spinner as well as a question/answer review spinner, and full directions.
If you like the spinner, be sure to leave feedback and check out my other resources. I have several more language arts resources that may interest you, including 2 great I Have / Who Has games for reading and grammar. I also have many file folder games that are great for centers.
Please do not copy this activity for an entire grade level or school. If your colleagues like the activity, please send them to Teachers Pay Teachers! Thank you!
Thank You!

I have been a public school teacher in a highly respected district in the Atlanta metro area for the past 11 years. I have taught very diverse students, usually all together in one group! After teaching fourth grade for ten years, I am now teaching a computer lab special to 3 and 4 year olds, and loving it! I am also the technology coordinator for my public, special needs school. You never know what changes life will bring!
