This historical fiction novel unit includes questions for every chapter(no answers included), vocabulary and spelling worksheets and puzzles, and a word search for names in the novel.
Questions cover reading comprehension, cause and effect, comparisons, character analysis, projection, imagery, and more.
A two page all-novel test is included, WITH ANSWER KEY: Identify the speaker of the quote, true and false, fill in the blank, and short essay answers are included on the test.
There is also a lesson on perspective including student practice on pages for use on smartboards, doc. cameras, or overhead projectors.
A creative writing activity is included which uses a special journal. Student handouts and directions and short story outline for student use are included.
There are several activities including worksheet pages for a concurrent plot in the novel. Also, I have added teacher ideas and suggestions for a journal activity including bookmarks for that purpose.

Love! It seems to be aligned to the Common Core and isn't just "right there" comprehension questions. Also, great guided reading mini-lessons provided! :) Will definitely be a repeat customer!
