This dice board game is a fun method to teach students about complete sentences and sentence fragments. The game focuses on simple predicate, complete predicate, simple subject, and complete subject by having the students collect sentence fragment cards and assemble them as complete sentences. The game is dynamic as the combinations of sentences are plentiful and often funny. The game play is varied as movement of game pieces around the board can follow many paths that are determined by the dice roll and by the players according to strategic decisions. I have thoroughly tested this game in my grade 7 classroom and my students have enjoyed it immensely. I have also tested it in grade 5 and grade 6 classrooms with similar results. I am confident that you will use this resource every year when teaching about the components of which a complete sentence consists.
