"Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink." Do students really understand how true this statement might be? This 22 slide power point talks about water and its uses in the home, agriculture, industry, transportation, and recreation. How to conserve water is discussed, and key vocabulary is introduced. A circle graph is used to show just how little fresh water is actually available to humans. A Check Point is included about half way through the power point which can be used as a short quiz. There are also discussion questions throughout the presentation. An essay question about water conservation is asked at the end of the power point which may be included with the Check Point quiz.

I have been teaching since "the earth cooled". My husband is a teacher as well, and together we have over 75 years of teaching in the elementary, middle school, high school and college areas. My focus is mathematics while my husband's is science. We never want to do anything else because we love it! My teaching style is hands-on and energetic while using diverse teaching strategies.
