Sideways Stories from Wayside School and any of the other Wayside School books make a great read aloud or small group book. Complete this writing activity as a class or small group when finishing the book. Have each student write their own story about a character for a new class at Wayside School. Put them together and make a class book. Included in this packet:

Plan and Write a Rough Draft
Checklists for revising, editing, and publishing
Lined paper for rough drafts and final drafts (younger student and older student paper)
Can't wait to use this, I was tempted to just make my own instead of spending $3.50, but your product was worth it! You did an excellent job creating this resource, thank you for sharing!
Thank you! This is one of my favorite whole-class activities. It makes a great keepsake. Here is a blog entry I wrote on this activity. I hope you enjoy it.
