Students receive a special letter from "The Problem Detectives" asking if they would like to join "The Problem Detective Club." In order to join, students must first do some detective work by identifying the problem and solution to four case files. If students can successfully solve each problem, they can become members of the club by receiving a "Certificate of Membership."

I've waited to give this pack a review because I wanted to use it first. Let me tell you, this unit is amazing. My kids loved it. We a haven't completed all of the lessons, but my students have learned a lot. Now, they look at "problems" with a more critical eye. I teach ESE first graders and this was a challenge for them - but in a fabulous way! My principal was also very impressed with the main lesson and told me that she wishes our fifth grade students would work on this skill. Thank you so much. You are a genius!
