I use books and a video to introduce the Preamble to the Constitution to my students. This is a book that kids can work on together to create illustrations for your own class book. I sometimes create 2 class books so that everyone can make their own individual page. You can use the blank pages to have the kids draw pictures and/or write sentences that tell what America means to them.
You can use this in a variety of ways. The books I use are for younger children. However, there are many other books and videos available that could be used with older children.
I hope you this packet helps you teach your students about The Preamble to the Constitution of our United States of America.

I'm sorry you are having trouble. Have you contacted Teachers Pay Teachers? They will probably be able to help you out better than I can. Are you opening the document in 'Preview' on your Mac? If you are, then open it with the Adobe program, not preview. You should also be able to print from a Windows machine. Let me know! Sorry!

Do you have a mac? If so, You need to open in the Adobe program, not in the preview option. You may also need to update your Adobe to the newest version. If you have access to a Windows machine, you shouldn't have trouble either. Let me know if you have any other problems.

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade...then began to loop with 2nd and 3rd graders. I absolutely loved looping! It was so exciting to watch the growth in those little buggers over a two year period....and talk about getting attached! Those little people, their families and I became very close. We stopped looping a few years ago when we changed principals. I'm trying to talk my new principal into letting me team teach with a friend....we just want to knock out one of the walls!
