This zip file contains materials for middle school science lessons on types of weather fronts, air masses, reading weather radar maps, and predicting weather as part of a weather unit. The unit was designed for 6th graders in NYC.
Includes:
1 Types of Weather Fronts PowerPoint lesson presentation (8 slides)
1 Weather Fronts & Predicting Weather PowerPoint lesson presentation, including extensive practice activities (16 slides)
2 skeleton outline note taking documents that follow each presentation (could be used for differentiation)
2 homework assignment
Presentations serve as lesson plans that guide the teacher through the entire lesson. Presentation includes links to related YouTube videos to increase student engagement (I can help you use YouTube videos in your class, even if your network blocks such sites, just ask).

There were some grammatical errors, and I think adding more information about clouds would help students apply their knowledge of fronts to the weather they see outside daily. I am not sure about copyright laws, but I usually try to include hyperlinks to videos and interactive animations in my ppts.

I purchased this today and would like to ask questions before I leave feedback. Is there an answer key for the questions on the slides?? Also, I do not understand what the last map is to be used for.

Unfortunately there is no direct answer key, but you can use the key of each map to figure out all answers. The final map is included to allow you to create your own questions. Thank for your purchase, hope it goes well for you and your students.
