A graph for the calendar area of your classroom where you (or your students, or the "special helper" of the day) can keep track of weather patterns for each month. In my kindergarten classroom, we sing "the weather song," and the special helper checks out the window for the weather of the day and then fills in the appropriate box on the graph. In my first grade classroom last year, each student had their own graph, and kept track of the weather by filling in the appropriate box during our morning activities (while I collected planners, took attendance, etc.). At the end of the month, we count up the totals for each weather categories and discuss which type of weather happened most often, least often, how it related to the season, etc.
