(13 pages) This is a simple, but very interesting activity in which students use actual hurricane data from NOAA. Students will plot the daily locations of two historic hurricanes (1992's ANDREW, and 1989's Hugo), and then color code the plots to show each storm's daily wind speed/category. Analysis of the storm data gives students a foundation to answer common questions about these massive storms.
