This is a sorting & classifying activity to teach students about different types of weather. This set contains classification cards for rainy, stormy, cloudy, foggy, sunny, & windy weather. This is a great activity for a classroom Science Center for Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, & First Grade. The activity uses real photographs of the types of weather.
Awesome pictures. My kids loved sorting them over and over again.

Moving to first grade after teaching 15 years in 3rd and 5 years in 2nd...and sorting activities and scoot gams are on my list! So happy I don't have to make them!
My "Weather Time" really was in need of a pick-me-up and this was prefect. My students love seeing pictures of real weather. Being in San Diego we don't get much of it. :)
Thanks! Glad this has worked so well for your class.

Another great packet, combining this with the seasons sort & classify may actually reinforce the different types of weather than can occur in the different seasons. The 'real' photos are great and I can't wait to use it. Thank you for creating and sharing this sort & classify.

LOVE the PreKinders stuff! I have most of them and use them frequently in my Pre-K classroom! My students love to do activities independently and this activity was perfect for that.

Love the real pictures! My students do, too, especially the lightning.
We sing the weather song and spell the weather words so I am excited to put another sensory activity in the classroom to enhance their understanding of weather.
