We are using your word wizard and math magic for second grade and I love them, but in CA we are still teaching the state standards...Just wondering if second grade is alligned to cc, seems like some of it may be. Just wondering as we are getting ready to make the big switch to cc after this school year.

Hi there, I actually just made a new set just for 2nd grade aligned to common core. I named it a bit differently to avoid confusion :)

Hi there,
At the beginning of the year I do a few squares a day, whole group, until they get the hang of it. Then after a few weeks, they are able do work on them independently. Sometimes I use them for homework too :)

Would this be a possible use for kindergarten? I am a new teacher and I love this but we have not touched on all of these skills just yet but I think that it would be an awesome tool. What do you think? If not, can you make one?? :)

Hi there,
I actually don't have any experience with K, so I'm not sure what to expect that they can do. I have asked a K teacher I love to use this format to make a K version, so it's in the works, but I'm not sure how long it will be. Not sure how much that helps :/

Hi there! Grade 1, week 3 question #20 is still not corrected. It shows 2 cherries and then adds a 1 instead of a 2. I re downloaded it but it didn't change. Maybe you could have a look.
Thanks!

I love the set but on week three question number 20 doesn't match the pic and was a little confusing for my first graders.

I believe I changed that one. I'll double check. Is it the one with the cherries?
You can re-download it, that should be different now and make more sense :)

Do you have a packet for each of the four nine weeks?

I do! There's a little search field called "quick find" on my page (right above the colorful banner that says Sunny Days Curriculum Connection). If you type Math Magic in that box, it will pull up all of the ones listed.
Hope that helps!

Hello, I bought your packet and I noticed a mistake. It is in Set 1/week 3/Grade 1. Problem #20 should be 1+2+2 instead of 1+2+1.

Hi there,
I see what you mean. I think I was counting the cherries at one, maybe? I'll change it to another fruit. Thanks for pointing that out! Be on the lookout for a revised version in your "my purchases" tab :)

I teach in a Spanish Immersion school and would love to buy this product. Is there any chance of getting the file as a word document instead of PDF so that I can translate it to Spanish for my students?

Dear SunnyDays, I recently purchased your Weekly Math Magic first grade, Set 1. Love them!! On Week 3, #20 your number sentence doesn't match your story problem. Thought I would let you know. Thanks. Keep the great sets coming.

The Math Magic for 1st grade is such a help to establish a center. My question---Do you have an entire year of Math Magic? or is that a coming product?
Thanks

I have paid $5.75 for the weekly math magic but I can't seem to down load it as it's only giving me the download preview option.

I think I have gone to heaven. I already love the Weekly Math Magic (have all of them in my cart for the next year). Will all the sets be CCSS aligned? Should I wait? Thank you for all the hard work you do.

Hi there! Im so glad you like it- it was definitely a labor of love! I'm working on the rest of the sets now and should have them listed well before school starts. The hard part was learning the standards and setting up a format that worked. The new first grade sets will all be CCSS aligned like this one. The original sets are closely aligned to 2nd grade CCSS with the exception of graphing. I'm going to go back and update those to just add the standards.
Thanks so much for the kind words!

Hi Jessica!
I design just about everything I make in Pages. It's a word processing program for mac. I just start with a blank slate so I can create what I need. I'm not sure how much that helps, but that's what I do :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
