PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a weekly reading log, an example of a completed reading log, and the parent explanation of the weekly assignment. The log can be adapted to suit the needs of any intermediate level teacher as well as students with ESOL, ELL, 504's, disabilities & IEP's. I generally use the log the 1st nine weeks of school as we are learning about narrative/story elements and I use the gradual release of responsibility model of facilitating the students towards independence in completing them. Then we begin monthly genre projects and the log becomes an independent student task. Created by Rhonda Jewell

Great idea, but the letter uses academic language that many parents will not understand. This is more of a upper grade reading log idea.
On  February 11, 2012Rhonda Jewell answered:
Yes. It is more of an intermediate level reading log. I've checked my settings to be sure that's what it indicates to potentially interested educators. Thanks.
