Just one sheet of paper, front to back, is all you need to assign a whole week's worth of spelling homework. On Monday, students unscramble spellings words. on Tuesday, students write each word forwards and then backwards (cat, tac). On Wednesday, students write their words three times each. On Thursday, students find and circle their spelling words in a teacher created word search puzzle. (or for added challenge, have students make their own puzzle AND circle the words).
Collect each day to check and then return to students OR collect once a week (maybe on Friday). Use the same assignment sheet each week, or alternate sheets (see my other spelling packets).

The 2011-2012 school year will be my seventh year teaching. I began in first grade, moved the second grade, and then to third grade. I then moved back to second grade and will remain in second grade for the 2011-2012 school year.
