These Weekly Word problems allow students to practice their word problem skills each day. This consistent practice has helped my students make enormous gains in their problem solving skills! The November version contains a mixture of addition and subtraction word problems. In this activity, students have to solve 3 word problems a day, and on Fridays they write and solve their own word problems. There is also a sheet that is a combination of all of the week's word problems.

-August: 2-digit plus 1-digit, 2-digit plus multiple of ten, 2-digit minus 1-digit, 2-digit minus multiple of ten, no regrouping on addition or subtraction

-September: 2-digit plus 1-digit, 2-digit plus multiple of ten, 2-digit minus 1-digit, 2-digit minus multiple of ten, no regrouping on addition or subtraction

-October: 2-digit plus 2-digit, 2-digit minus 1-digit, 2-digit minus multiple of ten, no regrouping on addition or subtraction

-November: 2-digit plus 2-digit, 2-digit minus 1-digit, 2-digit minus multiple of ten, no regrouping on addition or subtraction

-December: 2-digit plus 2-digit, regrouping with addition, 2-digit minus 2-digit no regrouping on subtraction

-January: 2-digit plus 2-digit, regrouping with addition, 2-digit minus 2-digit no regrouping on subtraction

Not for second grade. I wasn't sure how appropriate that would at the beginning of the year. I may add them in the January-May versions.
