Sunny, yes I would like Word Packets, where my students can do one page per day, as oppose to the 2 pages a week. Currently I am going to use your 1st and 2nd packet in that order. If you could make additional packets, this summer, that would be great. I know that I will definitely purchase them. You don't have to make 20 day packets, just make more packets. : ) Once I am done with the first grade CCS packets that you've made, I am going to move the students into the other CCS packets. My higher level students have been using your other CCS packets and they scored 203 points on their NWEA ELA test. The typical score is 167-177. I use the packets as practice and reinforcement to my language arts lessons and to pre-teach concepts. LOVE THEM!

Hello in Florida!
Hope you are having a great Winter Break! I just purchased the Weekly Word Wizard and I can't open it here at school. I unzipped all the files, but when the files are extracted, the only choices I have are the key set, the jpeg preview picture and the other DOS folder. Any ideas? I've reloaded it twice and said "yes" to replacing the files when it downloads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am going to continue all of the sets. In fact, they are already written, I just need to type them up and list them. I'm aiming to have them up before we go back to school next week.
I did not create an explanation page. I started to, but I didn't think first graders would really find it useful, plus the activities are so much simpler than the other sets, I didn't think they were really necessary. Is that something you really miss? I can try to make up something that could work specifically for parents if you think it would be helpful :)

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special.
