This is a "New Year's" task for the first day after Xmas vacation in upper elementary or middle school grades.
Based on Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and endings, students reflect on their accomplishments over the past year and set goals for the New Year. They then complete a mini-poster (you will need to enlarge the PDF on your photocopier) which includes their reflections, goals, and an image of themselves in a Janus-like pose. See the thumbnail images to get an idea of what you will receive.
Students love this, and it really helps them celebrate the past and plan the future. It is very simple for the teacher to use as well.
