This is a fun alternative to the traditional Gingerbread Man hunt that so many kindergarten teachers have used to orient children to their new school. Using the traditional chant of, "We're going on a bear hunt", students will join in looking for a class teddy bear in different areas of the school. My chant refers to "walking on marshmallow toes", an idea I found in several different places on the internet. I like to hide our bear several times in different areas the first week, instead of doing it all at once. At the end of the week we find teddy bear cookies in the principal's office and go decorate our bears with candies!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I used to do the gingerbread man hunt at the beginning of the year, but wanted something new, b/c I love doing the different versions of the gingerbread man at Christmas.

I can hardly wait to use this on the first day of school for my kindergarten kids to tour the building!
Let me know how it goes. I used to do the gingerbread man hunt at the beginning of the year, but really wanted to save it for Christmas time. My kids really enjoyed it, and I hope yours will too!

I used this with my Firsties and they had such a good time with it. Could you possibly make two more cards - one for Music and one for Art? Thanks so much for such a cute resource!
