This Reader's Theater includes all four of the one page scripts that explain the western expansion of the United States.
Each act could be performed by 2-5 people.
Act I is the Louisiana Purchase, Act II is the Lewis and Clark Expedtion, Act III is the Oregon Trail, and Act IV is The Gold Rush of 1849.
Important figures include President Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Napoleon Bonoparte, Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, Sacagawea, President James Polk, John Sutter, and Sam Bannan.
Each script could be preformed in 10-15 minutes, and are very effective mini-lessons on each subject.
This is saved in format Word 97-2003, so it can be edited.
We really enjoyed using this in class. For whatever reason, I really struggled finding good resources to teach Western Expansion, so I was thrilled to find your reader's theater!

Awesome! My students are going to love these! Perfect compliment to Reading Street's "Lewis and Clark and Me" selection!
