Whack Word Work Pack Long O CVCe and CVVC (oa)

This file contains two long o games. I review long o CVCe with the long o pattern oa. One is a word reading fluency game and the other is a spelling game. I use these in my word work literacy center. My students love anything that is game related! Students travel around a game board reading words or trying to spell words that follow the ee and ea pattern in CVVC words. This set of games will work great with any spelling or phonics program. The spelling cards can also be used as cards to play kinesthetic spelling games- I use them for Quiz-Quiz-Trade (Kagan strategy) when I have 3-5 minutes of down time or transition time. It gets them up and moving and they are practicing spelling patterns. So really there are 3 activities that can be done with this set. I also included two follow-up pages. I laminate the follow-up page and students either copy the chart in their word work notebooks or I leave dry erase markers out for them to fill it in and wipe away. One of the pages would be more suitable for copying if that is easier for you.
