This twelve slide presentation has been designed to introduce my 11th grade algebra students to get their minds thinking about what they have learned in their previous two years of mathematics study. There is a brief 10 minute video clip that gets the students hooked on the topic. I have included questions that accompany the video that I obtained from United Streaming. I used this lesson this morning with my 2 ALgebra 2 classes, and it went really well.

I am in my sixth year of teaching. My certification is in Math grades 7-12. I began teaching in an IB/Magnet High School in Rochester, NY where I taught Precalculus, Computer Programming, and Math A. After 2 successful years, my family moved to Florida where we could enjoy the sunshine year round. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching in a suburban High School in Florida. In addition to teaching Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus AB, I co-chair the math department. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.
