PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I’ve used this guessing game for years, which has been one of the most popular activities among the children I’ve worked with. Originally, I pulled things out of my head and free-handed the pictures on a chalk/whiteboard or piece of paper, but now I’m creating these sets for others to use. It is appropriate for pre-schoolers and up.

The title page & thumbnail has all the illustrations so you can see at a glance the finished picture as well as the progression. The set also includes individual sketches on their own pages until they reach their conclusion.

This activity can be used several ways:

1. Print out the individual sketches on cardstock and:
a. display each sketch individually until the children guess
what it is, or
b. attach the first sketch to a bulletin board to get the children
thinking about it; then add the next, and so on until they
get it, or
c. bind the top of the cardstock pages to create a flip chart
and prop it up for students to guess; If you want your
students to use it, I’ve included a separate cover page
that you can use that won’t give away the answers

2. If you are comfortable at drawing, use the set as a guide to
sketch each illustration yourself on a chalk or whiteboard, paper,
or document camera projected on a screen

3. Print out the title page and cut horizontal strips to make individual folding bookmarks for the children that when folded, they can play the guessing game with family and friends, which they love to do!

4. Use the finished picture as a page for children to color

Tip:

I’ve purposely included five pictures per set so you can do an activity per day for a week leading up to a holiday or particular lesson. If it’s based on a holiday or theme, don’t tell them beforehand. Let them figure it out for themselves, and they will.
And there are many more to come!

Thank you for your support!
