Over 20 short sentences for students to practice reading with periods, exclamation points, and question marks. The sentences are made up of common high frequency words (i.e. I have a cat.) While one student reads the sentences, another students tallies how his or her voice sounded (Did it sound like he read s sentence with a period, a question mark, or an exclamation point?). This activity would also be great to do with older reading buddies who could model fluency.
