This is an interactive positional word book. This was an idea I learned about at a math conference. This can be used in two ways. 1) I wanted to actually make the book to put in a center for students to use on their own. I added graphics and more positional words. Students could draw the pictures and write the sentences at the bottom of pages then fold the papers as a book. 2) The students could write the sentences at the bottom of a several sheets of paper, then draw illustrations of the tree, clowns, car, etc. They would still attach 'Bear' to the back of the book so they could move him around.
Students will interact with this book. One of the bears (included) should be attached by yarn to the back of the book. Students will move the bear in the position the book asks for. (above, under, beside, etc.)
