This heavily illustrated 36-slide PowerPoint is designed to answer the question, "Why is everything made in China?" It briefly reviews China's economic situation prior to the Communist Revolution. It then takes you through 1978, two years after Mao's death, when economic reform finally started. The focus of the presentation is China's Special Economic Zones, primarily coastal areas designed to compete for foreign manufacturing work. Every slide has not only information but also photographs illustration the information on the slide.
