This unit contains word sorts that include Dolch Words, Long and Short Vowels: a, E, i, o, and u, R-controlled vowel sorts: ir, or, ur. er, Blends: sl, sn, br, gr, tr, Digraphs: sh, ch, th, wh, and Vowel Combinations: oa, ow, ea, ee, oo, and ew. It also contains an I Can poster for a Literacy Station listing all the thing you can do at a word sort station. Each sort has a recording sheet for students to write the words from each sort. The cards can be copied on card stock and laminated for durability to be used year after year. It can be used as independent work, with a partner, in small groups, or as a needs based group activity. This is a fun filled and colorful unit that students will enjoy doing! Who knew words could be so much fun??!!!
