This activity engages students in President Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb. It is a streamlined version of activities available elsewhere online and thus offered freely here. I developed biographies of the key players and identified the most significant primary documents for download so that students can use their class time more efficiently in preparing and presenting their arguments and negotiating with others. It includes a detailed outline of how to guide the activity as well as handouts on President Truman and his advisors. it also includes suggestions for how to develop the activity further.
