Students can practice spelling winter vocabulary words. Vocabulary words are: hat, mittens, boots, scarf, pants, jacket, gloves, skates, sweater, socks, earmuffs. Templates are designed to work with small magnetic letters from Lakeshore Learning, although any letters no larger than 1 1/2 inches will work (plastic letters, letter tiles, letter cards, etc). Includes templates with colored letters (blue consonants, red vowels), gray letters, then blank. This prompting system can help students become more independent while learning to spell these vocabulary words. Activity is applicable for any student working on letter matching or spelling. Could be used for teaching, assessment, or fun independent work. Great for students with Autism or other special needs as it is a closed ended activity and could even be broken into smaller activities. Also good for EFL/ESL/ELD/ELL students. I'm glad your class enjoyed this. This has been a successful activity for my students as well. I have similar activities for other themes that you may also be interested in using.
