This smartboard lesson is a 21 page interactive fact or Opinion lesson that can be used anytime, but especially during the Winter Olympics. It introduces fact and opinion and then the students come to the board to tell whether a statement is a fact or opinion. This lesson will be a great review of fact/opinion. I am going to use it as an activity with our poetry buddies because we are going to be writing acrostic poems about the Olympics. I thought it was well done, and the children will enjoy the sound effects.

I found this Olympic Lesson on fact and opinion very well done. My class has been studying Canada and the 2010 Olympics as they're coming to our area. The lesson has good pictures and feedback, (great sounds) which make it a good interactive tool on the Smartboard. Learning about fact and opinion is in the ILOs so the lesson meets many of my needs. It was also quick and easy to download and use the same morning. I will be looking for more ideas from Scott O'Toole

I have taught for 15 years. Six years ago I received an electronic smartboard. I have since been developing all of my lessons with the smartboard software. I have become very adept at designing lessons and train new teachers how to use the smartboards.
