This is a Winter Unit for upper elementary students. It includes the following activities: A Winter Race Game where students roll the die and try to get to the finish line first despite the various obstacles along the way; a writing activity where the student writes a persuasive letter to Santa convincing him to bring him or her gifts; A Winter Crossword Puzzle with Answer Key; A Dear Deer Game that is played like Old Maid. Try to get homophone pairs and try not to end up with the Dear Deer Card!; Chillin With a Good Book Activity where students share a good book they have read - makes an excellent bulletin board because students can go there for ideas on a new book to read. You could even have a Hot Chocolate Day where they choose a book from the Bulletin Board and enjoy it with a cup of Hot Chocolate!; Snowy Search for Words which is a winter word search along with Answer Key. Also provides a blank sheet for students to create their own Winter word search and switch with a partner for extended fun; Winter Wonderland Long Division Problems with Answer Key; Winter Wonderland Word Challenge where the students have 5 minutes to come up with as many words as they can from the letters in Winter Wonderland; Winter Word Game where clues are given in which the answers are from letters from Frosty the Snowman - includes Answer Key; Christmas and New Year Homework Passes; Winter Scattergories Game where students need to find words for certain categories beginning with each letter in the word WINTER; Snowball Math story problems with Answer Key; Cute and Fun Poem; Winter Clipart.
