The only problem with this unit is that I am Canadian and in Canada we do not use the term Eskimo. The politically correct term is Inuit. So I could not use the noun words but could use the pictures.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 26 years, with the majority of my experience being in first grade. I taught Reading Recovery for 5 years, and that experience has impacted every day of my teaching since! For the past 10 years, I've enjoyed teaching a first grade literacy intervention class. It has also been my privilege to present various workshops on literacy topics at the local, state, and national level. My goal is to ignite a passion for reading and writing in young learners.
