Students will love being word detectives! This is a fun way to incorporate write the room into your daily literacy centers or word work components. The "detectives' are given a case and they have to search the room to locate and write words that fit the case description. Also includes a blank template so you can add your own criteria. For added fun let them use large magnifying glasses and wear detective hats. The recording sheets include text boxes to write in which is helpful for those students who tend to write to big and who have poor fine motor skills. As a bonus I've included my word detective chart for you to use during your reading lessons. This chart includes the ever popular Beanie Baby reading strategies. Deanna Jump

Hi Deanna,
I am a big fan of your material. I have purchased most of the writing units for next year, but when I downloaded Unit 7 I got Unit 5 again. Actually, I just double checked my downloads and none of the numbers match up. I'm sure it is something simple, but I just want to make sure I have all of the units I purchased.
