These lists correlate to the Treasures Reading Series for first grade. There are two leveled lists for Units 1-6. There are not lists for review weeks. The lists of words contain the high frequency words and spelling words. Level 1 has 6 words and Level 2 has 11 words. In Level 2 students will also need to be able to add two die together. Choose the correct level for pairs or small groups. Give each student a copy and one or two die. Roll the dice or die (add 2 numbers together), read the word next to the number. If the student can read the word they color in a square. The student to color in a whole row is the winner.

I've been teaching for 18 years. I have taught special education and general education. Most of my career has been spent teaching first graders. I teach at a local college for teachers. I currently teach a writing in the K-2 classroom and curriculum and instruction.
