In package, there are 8 word sorts. The children cut out the words and glue them under the correct heading. Then write two to three sentences using some of the words they sorted. My first graders love this activity. I have also put the words in water bottles full of sand. They shake the bottles to find the words, then write them under the correct heading, and lastly write two to three sentences. It a great independent reading and writing activity!
