This file consists of a Pirate themed version of my easy to use and maintain word sorting schedule.
I've always struggled with finding a way to visually display what each of my groups are doing with their word sorts. This display has taken away this problem.
I have five groups which rotate through 8 activities. I meet with one group each day to introduce their word sort. This leaves me 3 days to meet with strugglers or do a reading conference or two!
This pack comes with a Word Study header, pirate ships which describe 13 different word sorting activities and parchment clip art pieces to write your group members on.
How it works: once it is set up as in the pictures, you simply move the little pirate images down a pirate ship! The pirate ship tells each group what activity they are doing with their word sort. Easy!

I purchased this for spelling, however, I am not doing spelling groups anymore. Since my theme is pirates, I used the great graphics for door decorations and put the students' names on them. Loved it

I love what you did with this theme and word study. I bought it and love it. I was wondering is there any way I can use legal size paper and make the ships and name holders bigger? Can you send the items in word so I can resize them with the same info on them?

I'm sorry I can't send them to you in word due to copyright on the images. You could try going into the Advanced Printer settings when you press File, Print. I hope this helps.
