Spiderweb is a Word Wall partner game for your literacy centers. Kindergarteners through 5th graders will enjoy this game at Halloween or any time of year.
Teach it once and use it again and again! It's also great for practicing spelling words or content area vocabulary.
Two versions are included: Color (laminate, and supply your students with wipe-off markers) or black and white, if you prefer to copy as consummables.

Hi Linda! I actually need to follow up with you later today to ask about an eBook publishing opportunity you may be interested in. For now, I have a question about this game. Do they need to have one finished "diamond" in order to write the word in? Also, can they overlap the lines - what if red already colored on the line and they need it to complete their triangle? Hi, Dawn - so sorry that I wasn't able to get back to you sooner - I was away from home and my computer for a few days. In answer to your questions about Spiderweb: 1) Yes, in order to write a word, the player must complete all four sides of a diamond. 2)Players cannot trace over a line that has been traced by another player. I hadn't even considered that possibility, because I was anticipating involving the players using some strategies in this game!

I've been teaching for 26 years, with the majority of my experience being in first grade. I taught Reading Recovery for 5 years, and that experience has impacted every day of my teaching since!
