Monkeying Around with Word Work Task Cards have 48 different center / small group activities that practice and reinforce word work. These activity cards can be used with any story, newspaper article, poem, book etc., so they are easy to differentiate to the needs of your classroom. Included is a worksheet that can be used with all of the task cards. Pick and choose the cards / skills that would be developmentally appropriate for your group of students.

Love this for word work. They are very cute and my students love using them for word work! I put them in clear sheet protectors and my students love to take a sheet and choose an activity.

This is an excellent, practical resource for either centers or if you use Daily Five. I love the idea of kids diving into their self-selected literature to find examples of words that fit a category or pattern. Visuals are fun, too!

Hi Brooke,
i purchased the Monkeying Around With Word Work package, and after 3 tries it downloaded and i can open it but it will not print completely. i get the first 4 pages and then the printer kicks it out - any ideas? i had this same problem with a freebie of yours I downloaded recently.

That is kind of weird. I did try printing it at home and school, and it does print can there. What is you e-mail, or you can e-mail me at beverlyteacher@aol.com, and I will send you the file. Maybe it will work that way. If that doesn't work, we will brainstorm a different way! What was the freebie you had trouble with too? I will link that as well.
