Word of the Day Part 2 ~ Language Arts ~ Grammar Skills Review

The Word of the Day is a wonderful tool for teaching and reviewing numerous language arts and grammar skills on a daily basis. This set includes 90 pages, one page to be used each day or however often you wish. This was created for second grade (it's challenging!), but I have had third and fourth grade teachers tell me that it would fit well in their curriculum as a great daily review as well. Skills covered include: word families, vowels and consonants, vowel sounds, digraphs and diphthongs, vowel pairs, consonant clusters, word comparisons, soft and hard c and g, syllables, plurals, synonyms/antonyms, homophones, compound words, multiple meaning words, parts of speech, prefixes/suffixes, rhyming words, adding endings, verb tense, dictionary skills, punctuation, quotation marks, capitalization, proper nouns, and possessives. I am also posting "Word of the Day Part One" which is the same type of product. Both are equivalent in difficulty, as a matter of fact, you could start with any of the 180 pages and use them in any order you wish. If you purchase both sets, you would have 180 pages to cover the entire year. This is a great product for state test prep! I will also be posting my "Word of the Day Preview Lessons", which are 6 weeks worth of daily lessons that are great for introducing many of these concepts, especially if you are purchasing this for 2nd graders (includes a weekly quiz that covers the concepts taught that week).
