I use these labels on our Class Journals for a variety of topics.
Children can choose to write in one of these journals while working on writing.
I make the journals with composition notebooks that I bought at Wal-Mart for 40 cents and full sheet labels (but you could also just print them on paper). After I stick the labels on, I cover the books with Con-Tac Paper.
Children love writing about their adventures and reading about the adventures of their friends!

Hi there! I do have a color printer at school. I just print these once and make class journals. Each kid doesn't get their own. I guess you could let the kids color it though. Thanks for the nice comments! I love to make stuff!

Hilary I would love some more journal covers so more students could have them at the end of the year to take home. I was wondering if you could make me some more. I thought of these ideas: feeling journal, tattling journal, If I ran the school, tooth fairy, some math ideas patterns, shapes, story problems, measurement, money, time, number combinations, 100 journal. I would just love for you to create another set that I could buy. Thanks Bethany

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade...then began to loop with 2nd and 3rd graders. I absolutely loved looping! It was so exciting to watch the growth in those little buggers over a two year period....and talk about getting attached! Those little people, their families and I became very close. We stopped looping a few years ago when we changed principals. I'm trying to talk my new principal into letting me team teach with a friend....we just want to knock out one of the walls!
