I have updated my checklist! Included in the pack is an 8 1/2 x 11 page as a personal page for kids, and an 11 x 17 page that can be used as a poster.

This page is great to help young children learn to revise and edit their writing. It is a simple and easy tool for kids and meets requirements from the new common core standards.

I print enough copies for the entire class in color. I then put the reference page into a sheet protector that goes into a durable, plastic folder for each child... And it gets even better! I keep the folders with the reference page for next year's class!

Check out some of my other items like the spelling dictionary, which really helps students become independent with their spelling. It's also good for ABC order!

Tell your friends about my items! I am busy working on more items for my store, so check back often or FOLLOW me and you will receive an email when I add a new item.

Thanks!

What program do you use to make all your documents? I just discovered borders in word. I'm so behind in the times...lol. You are very talented! Everything you make is wonderful!

Thank you so much! I make all my stuff with Microsoft publisher. It's much easier to manipulate pictures than with word. Thanks for making me smile!

I downloaded the Write, Revise, and Edit checklist, however, only a few sporadic words show up. What should I do? I downloaded it twice and it's still the case. Thanks!

Do you have a mac? If so, You need to open in the Adobe program, not in the preview option. You may also need to update your Adobe to the newest version. If you have access to a Windows machine, you shouldn't have trouble either. Let me know if you have any other problems.
Thanks for ordering!

What is a "bouncy finger"? Thanks.

Hi!
A bouncy finger is what I tell the kids to use so they are only reading one word at a time. They touch each word that they've written & say it out loud. Then they are reading what they actually wrote & not what they think they wrote. Sprey about that. I think I'll make a video for my blog! Thanks for the great question! Hilary

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade...then began to loop with 2nd and 3rd graders. I absolutely loved looping! It was so exciting to watch the growth in those little buggers over a two year period....and talk about getting attached! Those little people, their families and I became very close. We stopped looping a few years ago when we changed principals. I'm trying to talk my new principal into letting me team teach with a friend....we just want to knock out one of the walls!
