This is a write the room unit. I use a Write the Room Station in my classroom during reading block. Students get a copy of the write the room page, and they must search for the words listed on their paper in the room. These work best if used with a clipboard. They must find words that they can read. When they have written all the words they then read each word they have found to their partner. The students in my reading class only visit one station a day and I switch stations every 5 or 6 days(according to how many stations I have).
This product can also be used as independent word, or as an activity when students have finished work early. This is a great way to reinforce word recognition, phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling skills, and reading.
